- [Instructor] In this example we're going to be taking a look at alternate position views. Now an alternate position view is basically just a different configuration of the same assembly overlaid on the existing drawing. So let's go ahead over here to view layout. At the very end here you see alternate position view. Click on that one there and go ahead and select this view here. Now I can either create a brand new configuration at this point in time, which will open up that assembly allowing me to make a new configuration. Or if I already have an existing configuration I can then choose it from this drop down list here. Let's go ahead and use view number two. Click on okay. And you can see there that one of these little rockets is taking off here and this one is just slid back slightly. So you can see where these positions might be. Now on the exam we're going to probably have to add some type of dimension or some type of an angle to specify where this part is and make sure that…
