Animating your assembly

- [Instructor] Now that we've completed our gear assembly, let's create a simple motion study animation to see how our gears interact. First, we'll create a new motion study by right clicking on the existing Motion study one here and hitting Create new motion study. For the type of study, we're going to set it to be a basic motion rather than animation because basic motion allows you to have more realistic movement and use elements such as motors, springs, cams and gravity in your video. We're going to use a motor to rotate our gears. So let's click on that icon, there'll be a rotary motor. For the component direction, we're going to select the bore of year one and for the speed, we're going to set a constant speed of 30 and hit Okay to create our motor. As you can see, a five second video was created. So we'll hit Play to see what that looks like. We can see our gears are spinning as they should. We'll stop that.…
