Applying materials, colors, and backgrounds
- Once I have a few solid objects I can then apply materials to those objects. I can change the color, and I can even change the background scene that I'm working in. To do so, first things first, let's go ahead and try to apply a material to these parts here. So I go over here to material on the left hand FeatureManager and right click on it. I can see all of my favorite materials here and at the very top is edit material. So here I can apply any of these standard materials, and you can see we have a lot of them. If you expand it out, you can scroll through all of the available materials, and as soon as you apply a certain material to your part, now that part has all the physical characteristics of that material. So I can then run a finite element analysis on it. I can take a look at the parts. It will look the same. It's going to act the same, and I can weigh it. I can find the center of mass. Those'll all be accurate based upon that piece of material. Once you click on apply, now…
