Assembly drawings

- In Solid Works, you can create drawings of individual parts as well as assemblies. So to create a drawing of an assembly, we basically do exactly the same thing as we did for the part drawing. We just go up here to File, Make Assembly, or sorry, Make Drawing from Assembly. There it is. And choose the default template, click OK, and then go ahead and place one of these views in your design. So I could choose something like the front view, bring that in and we've already started our drawing now. So I can do very similar to what I did for the part drawing, is I can make a projection. So I could project from this view here over to another part of the view. But generally for an assembly, we're trying to focus on something different from individual part drawings. For a part drawing, we want to add a bunch of dimensions and material call-outs and things like that, so we're defining how to build that part, where we…
