Automatic Relations

- [Presenter] In this section, we're going to to look through the various sketch settings that are available in SolidWorks. We're going to start with Automatic Relations. Now by default, Automatic Relations are already on. "What does that mean?" While I'm creating a sketch, as I drag points along, you see that yellow icon that pops up? Automatically, it's creating relations for vertical, horizontal, a specific angle, coincident, all of the things that can make it snap together and make it quick to align and give constraints. If I pull it down here, you can see that I get this straight line and the perpendicular line constraint popping up in the bottom right It's adding all of these constraints as I go along, and these relations rather. Now, if I go to Tools, go to Sketch Settings, and then turn off Automatic Relations, I'm going to just start sketching again and see what happens.
