Automatic Solve

- [Instructor] One of the sketch settings we don't often think about is the Automatic Solve Sketch setting. If we're in a sketch and we go to Tools, Sketch Settings, and Automatic Solve, by default it'll be turned on. Now what that does is it give us the ability to manipulate our sketch on the fly. It allows SolidWorks to do the computations required to figure out how that geometry should react as we drag and drop things and move it about the sketch plane. If we go to the Help here, it doesn't give you too much more information, it just says that it uses automatic computation to solve the sketch geometry. Now if we turn that setting off, I'm going to go into Settings here and turn that off, I no longer can go and grab and drag and move points and entities around. Everything's basically stuck where it is because it can't do any more computation. You can select different entities if you want and delete them, that's not a problem. You can do things like that. I can add a new sketch line…
