Centerline - SOLIDWORKS Tutorial
From the course: SOLIDWORKS: Advanced Engineering Drawings
Centerline
- Adding a center line inside of a SolidWorks drawing view is incredibly easy to do. Let's jump right into it. I'm going to click on Annotation. And if I go all the way over to the right underneath Center Mark, I find Centerline. And as it says below, it inserts a centerline to a view or to selected it entities. So I'm going to click Centerline and essentially all you have to do is select two things for it to be in the center of. So I'm going to select this edge and this edge I get that centerline. If I select this edge and this edge, I get this centerline. This edge and this edge, I get the centerline right there. If I select the outside edge and this view and this outside edge, I get these centerlines. So you get the idea. It just gives you a line in between two parallel lines that you select. They can be in any view. And as long as this tool is on you can just keep selecting the two line entities one at a time…
