- [Instructor] When trying to verify if the geometry you've created in your sketch is appropriate for a feature, sometimes it's useful to use the sketch feature command. Now, here in this particular example, I have a box with a very large, exaggerated line that we would normally pick up, but for this example, it's going to be helpful. I'm going to go up here and just start typing in check, and hit enter, and we've got the Check Sketch option here. If we click on the Show Command, SOLIDWORKS will take us and show us exactly where it is. Down here, we've got Check Sketch for Feature, so I'm going to turn that on, brings up this window, and we're going to tell it which feature are we trying to make, and check this geometry for it. So, I'm going to look for a simple Base Extrude and hit Check. This one says the sketch has both open and closed contours, so let's try to fix it.
