Circles and arcs

- SOLIDWORKS has both a circle tool as well as an arc tool, which is just a segment of a circle. I'm going to start a sketch on the Front Plane, and click on the very first Circle. We have two circles, which is a perimeter circle or a centerpoint circle. Choose the Centerpoint Circle, which is the first one, and click on the origin and just drag out your shape. Add a dimension, it's really pretty straightforward, this tool. I'm going to click on Dimension, Add a Dimension of 6, and click OK. There's my shape. If I want more circles, just click on Circle, wherever you want to start your circle, click once. And then click again where you want to end that radius, to create that circle. Once you've created a circle I can then grab the center point and drag it around if I wanted to, or I can grab the outside of the circle to make it bigger or smaller. The three-point circle is: I'm going to click once, I'm going to click twice, I'm going to click three times, to define the shape. And I can…
