Circular pattern: Spur gear modeling
- [Instructor] The last step in creating our spur gear is to create the circular pattern for the tooth cut profile. I'm going to hold down Control and select the filled and cut extrude one features from the feature manager tree. And go up here and select Circular Pattern. For the direction one, we're going to select the edge of our bore diameter. We're going to keep the spacing set to equal and the angles set to 360 degrees. For the number of instances, we are going to set that to be equal to our number of teeth global variable. And hit the green check box, and close out the circular pattern. Now, if we double-click on the Circular Pattern feature, we see that the number of teeth has the red Sigma indicating that is linked to our global variable. We've now successfully created our equation-driven spur gear.
