Close Sketch to Model
- Using the Close Sketch to Model feature can be very powerful. It works a lot like having a Convert Entities feature. So, in this example right here, I've got a spline and a line that connect to the top and bottom of this circular profile. If I go up to Tools, Sketch Tools, and Close Sketch to Model, what it's going to do is select one direction or another, and close that sketch to make a closed contour. Now here you can see the yellow arrow indicating the direction. I can reverse that direction if I want, one way or the other, and then hit Yes. Now what's that done is essentially converted the entity on that edge in this direction without taking the entire perimeter or circumference of this circle into effect. So I only got that partial arc. Now if I want to make an extrusion of that, all I've got to do is hit the extrude button and hit okay, and I've done that.
