Construction geometry
- [Instructor] When working in sketches, sometimes you want to take advantage of construction geometry. What is construction geometry? So if you select any line or arc segment, go over to the left, you can see that it has an option here for construction. What that essentially does is turn it from a solid line to a dash line. But what it also does is it exclude it from being used in any features. So what does this mean? Here I have an extrusion and you can see its created by this box and then a few holes inside of it. If I accept this sketch we can see the various holes that are inside of this. If I go back into the sketch, select some of these holes, and then scroll down and change them to for construction. I'm going to hit green for accept. If I scroll in you can see now they have the dash lines. This is going to take those holes out of that boss feature. So I go ahead and accept you can see the features are no longer there. So when you are working with bosses sometimes you have the…
