Create an assembly using the PCB part
- [Instructor] Our enclosure model is going to be made up of three parts. The top and the bottom of the enclosure, and then the PCB itself. So the best way to build this is to use a SOLIDWORKS assembly. To get this started, let's open the SOLIDWORKS PCB part that we previously saved from the step file. So, from within SOLIDWORKS, go up to File and click on Open, and then go to the folder where you saved that part file. We want to open the one that says SOLIDWORKS Part Document, and there should be a small thumbnail instead of a small icon. So select that one and just press Open, and now you should see your part document. If you get any popups, like this, you can just ignore those and click No. So we want to use this part file to create a new assembly.
