Create a block from a sketch
- [Instructor] In this segment we're going to look at how to save a block in SolidWorks and add it to our Design Library and reuse it. So, we want to open the Chapter nine Begin exercise and open the sketch under LC Connectors. And, we're going to use the Tools, Blocks, Make to define a new block. And, then we're going to select one of the cutout patterns and locate the insertion point at the center of the large center circle as our insertion point. So let's move over to SolidWorks and do that. We've got an instrument panel. And, we've got our LC Connectors feature here with a sketch. So we're going to open up this sketch for editing. And, you'll notice we have this sketch right there. The LC Connector. So we want to turn that into a block. So, what we're going to do is we're going to go to Tools, Blocks, Make. And, we're going to window around everything so all the circles are selected. And then we want to make sure that we define our insertion point. The insertion point's going to…
