- [Instructor] The next part that we're going to make is a rod connector that attaches the rod we just made to a linkage that will attach to the cranks. Like most of the parts in the model, by itself, it's quite simple, but together, all of these simple parts build up a more complex machine, and you'll find this with a lot of different machines. Even if you looked at something like a helicopter, individually, a lot of the parts are quite simple, but together they make up this amazingly complex assembly. Start a new part and start a sketch on the right plane. Start with a center rectangle and draw it from the origin, and let's set the size as 16 millimeters wide and five millimeters high. And this is going to be the base of the part. We're also going to draw the top in the same sketch, and then we're going to reuse the sketch for different features. So get the Line tool, draw a line from this top corner, go up at an angle like…
