Creating a basic weldment drawing

- To make a SolidWorks drawing of a weldment, we're going to use the same basic tools we used to make any type of drawing inside of SolidWorks. However with weldments, there's a couple of other things we might want to point out. To get started I have 4.1 opened up here, and it's a weldment table frame. And you can see we have a couple different weldment structural members here. We've got a, basically, two by two tubing and then we've got some angle iron down here. I've added some gussets, then if you flip this thing around on the bottom, I've added some end caps, and I've color coded every piece here. So end caps are in red, the angle iron here is in this bluish purple, and the gussets are in green. That's a nice thing to do when you're working with weldments because you know exactly which piece is which and what material that piece is going to be made out of. To make the drawing, let's go up to File, Make Drawing From Part, I'm going to go ahead and choose that Lynda template, and…
