Creating a bounding box

- A feature that's been added to SolidWorks recently is called the Bounding Box. Now Bounding Box can be used for a lot of different things, basically what it is, is just showing a 3D box around a shape. Length, width, and heighth for that item. Now for Weldments, it's just gonna give you your basic overalls, but you can also use this same feature in other areas of SolidWorks. For instance, if you have maybe a cylinder or some weird part you're bringing in from another assembly, you want to basically figure out, "Hey, what size box is this gonna fit in? What size piece of material do we need to buy to be able to create this piece?" And that's what the Bounding Box really is nice for so again, it has some nice uses inside of Weldments but you can also turn just about any part into a Weldment and then create a Bounding Box around it to get some good information out.
