Creating circular patterns

- To create a circular pattern inside of SOLIDWORKS, first we need some type of feature to pattern. In this case here, I'm going to start a sketch. And I'm going to click Normal to it, so I'm looking straight down at that face. And come over here, start a sketch, and use the Circle command. I'm going to draw out a circle, and then from the center point here, I'm going to drag out another circle as my guide circle. And then go ahead and convert that to construction. Let's go ahead and define the boat hull circle diameter. And I'll type in 4.25, and define the size of the circle itself, so .75. And then let's determine where the starting point is. So let's use some construction geometry. Create a center line, start from the origin, and click on to the center of the circle. And let's define an angle from here to here, and define that as 15 degrees. Alright, let's go ahead and drill a hole here. So extrude cut, it's going to cut it all the way through the part.
