Creating a custom forming tool
- [Narrator] In this video, I'm gonna be teaching you how to create your own custom forming tool, for using with sheet metal, so the first thing I need is a sketch, which I already have right here, I'm gonna go ahead and extrude that sketch up, I wanna make sure that I'm extruding it outside of the space materials, so I wanna switch the direction, and I'm gonna type in point one five inches for the amount of the emboss that I'd like to make, click on okay, now let's go ahead, and use the Fillet command, and let's give a point two five fillet, and let's go ahead and choose these inside corners here, we wanna make sure we've got nice smooth edges on the corners of our emboss, so you have a nice smooth emboss at the end of the day, we don't wanna crinkle that material, so we wanna make sure we're using big nice fillets around our part. How about another fillet here, this time I'm gonna type in point one, I'm gonna use that on the inside bottom edge, and then do the same thing again on…
