Creating linear patterns

To create a linear pattern inside of SolidWorks, the first thing we need is some feature to pattern. In this case here, I have this Cut Extrusion number 1. Let's go up to Linear Pattern, and chose the direction vector that I want to go in to first. So, Direction number 1, I want to go along this top edge here. Click on that edge, and then go ahead and determine what spacing I want to use. Before I do that, let's go ahead and choose which feature I would like to pattern first. So, click down here, click on Cut Feature Number 1, and then come up here to the Spacing and the Number of Instances that we would like to create. I'm going to switch to Direction here, and increase the spacing so it goes across my part, and then just go ahead and just add a bunch all the way down. Now, for the other direction, Direction number 2, let's go ahead and choose this linear edge here, and that can be any linear edge that I'd like to go into. Now, I'm going to go ahead and increase how many I'm making…
