Creating text
- SOLIDWORKS provides a great tool for creating text inside of a sketch. To get started let's go ahead and click on Sketch, Start a Sketch and then choose a face to it draw on. I'm going to choose a line and then go to Center Line, and click on Normal too so I'm looking straight at that shape, and then just draw a line across my shape, and I'm going to attach that to the outside edges of this triangle. I can also define a dimension from maybe the top of that to the bottom. Give it a dimension of 1.15. Okay now you have that I'm going to go over to the Sketch Text tool. As far as my curves I'm going to choose that line there, and then I'm going to type in 'Hello'. I can define if I want to have it Left, Justified, Right across the entire length of that line or Center. I can flip it upside down. I can make it go forwards or backwards. I got a bunch of different options that I can do there. And I can also change which font I'm using. So go ahead and uncheck Use Default Font. I can choose…
