- [Instructor] If you're watching these videos out of order, before you watch this video it's important that you watch the previous video on how to install PDM on your server. We pick up from the last steps of that install, which is started automatically. Alright, so now that we have SOLIDWORKS PDM standard installed on our server host, we now have to install the archives server. So let's start walking through the install wizard for that. Here, as we've discussed before, where we put this root folder is very important. So this is where SOLIDWORKS PDM is going to store your vaults and all your files in the vault. Again, it's very important that we choose an area that has a lot of space on it. If you're a small company, it doesn't have to be that big. But if you're working with a lot of engineers and you're going to be producing a lot of data, it's really important that you get a very big server space storage location to be able to handle all the data, so that you don't have to move…
