Decimate Mesh Body

- [Instructor] We hear the word decimate, and most the time that means something bad. But in SolidWorks, we've got the mesh modeling toolbar pulled up, and we have the ability to decimate our mesh body. Now, I've imported mesh body, it's a big file. This file here happens to be about 37 megabytes, which is really not that big. But if you had a really big file this decimate command's really going to help us out. So the tool here is decimate, which basically just means we're going to reduce the file. We're going to, you know, decimate it into a smaller simpler file. And here it is, so here's my file under the mesh modeling toolbar inside of SolidWorks. And by the way, I'm working in SolidWorks 2020 right now. And if you're working in an earlier version, you probably don't have these tools. I think these came out around 2019. But I'm not exactly sure on that one.
