Defining new loads and boundary conditions
- [Instructor] We've seen that matching the two independent studies produces very different element qualities. Now we're going to apply the properties and loads and boundary conditions to each study independently. Let's start off with the with fillet study. Again, just to double check, we can see the fillets here visually. If we go to the model tab we can see again in the configuration manager the default which is our starting point. With fillets is the one that's active at the moment. So with fillets is what we'll operate on. The first job we want to do is to apply the material properties so let's right mouse click in here, apply/edit material, and the library we want is the one we created on the introductory course. Course materials, it was a steel type and the particular one we want is forged steel so hit apply, close that out. Now we can see in parentheses the 4030 forged steel so it's the right material property in there. Now I want to apply constraints as before so fixed…
