- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to show you how to use insert derived sketch. Now you can see here I've got a part which is a manifold, and I've got this little flange that I've designed on one of these ends, and I can go ahead and create flanges in all the different ends here. Now of course you could rotate these around if you'd like to but in this case I want to show you how you can use that derived sketch. Alright so the sketch I want to use is this one right here, that's the sketch I created, I don't want to do all that work again, right? So if you have a circular feature like this one, it'd be great to revolve it. But what if you don't have one? What if you want to design a flange, like a manifold, you want to bolt places, you want it always to be used throughout your sketch. Because it's derived, it's linked to the original.
