Derived sketch
- [Instructor] Sometimes once you create one sketch, you want to replicate that same sketch on different faces and maintain a relationship between them. You can do this using a derived sketch. Now, how you do that is I'm first going to just make a random sketch on this face. I'm going to make a little spline with a little circle on the end. Go ahead and click OK, and we've created that sketch. And, like all the other sketches, we can move it around in different positions, scale it up and down, do all kinds of stuff with this sketch. Once we have that created, I'm going to pick that sketch, select this face over here while holding Ctrl. Then, I'm going to go up to the Insert tab, and down here we'll see that Derived Sketch is now available. I'm going to click on that, and you'll see that another sketch has appeared behind the original one that I created, those two are now linked together. I'm going to ahead and accept that sketch. Now, you can see if I grab this and change this sketch…
