Direct Editing: Move Face

- [Instructor] The move face command is amazing. It can save you a huge amount of work because it operates on the actual features. It's a direct editing feature. You don't have to go back into your tree and modify the original features. You can just make an edit to your part at any point in time and then you can suppress or unsuppressed it. It also works great with imported geometry like STEP files or IGES files that don't have a tree at all and we needed to modify them, we can easily use the move face command to change the shape. Let me show you how it works. Under the direct editing toolbar we have move face right over here. I have the option of offsetting, translating or rotating. Let's start with the translate. Choose this surface right here at the top and just grab it and move it up and notice what happens. If I move it up, if I hit the green check mark, it just moves that surface up and extends these chamfers over…
