- [Instructor] One of the most powerful ways you can start working in SolidWorks assemblies is by grabbing other people's components, and that's other people's components or other companies' components. And most companies these days are providing 3D CAD files, either in a native SolidWorks format or in generic formats, like step files or Parasolid, or Aegis files, and you can just drag and drop those directly into your assemblies and use them. And that's going to save you a huge amount of time versus trying to create them yourself. And they're going to be generally a lot more detailed and have a lot of very useful things that are going to help your design out. So let me show you a couple of resources for that.
