Downloading premade parts from the internet
- [Instructor] One of the best ways to get components for an assembly is to not design them at all but to download them from the internet. Now many suppliers are now providing 3D CAD files, so it makes it very easy to go ahead and just download those components. Something like a motor or a gearbox or a screw or a bolt or a nut or any of those type of things that are supplied by a big company, more than likely they've got some content you can download from their website. A couple really great resources to find these type of components, if you come over here to 3D ContentCentral, you can search through all the available suppliers there and download a huge amount of very cool models right into SOLIDWORKS. Here are just a few of the items you can download over here. You can, of course, search for things and look through all the available suppliers they have. The next one is going to be McMaster-Carr. McMaster-Carr if you're looking for any type of a piece of hardware like a bolt or a nut…
