Drafting standards

- When creating your SolidWorks drawings, you might be trying to adhere to a specific engineering standard. A quick way to make sure that your drawings, are following those specific standards by default, is to go up to your Systems Options, go to the Document Properties, and here under the Drafting Standard, you'll find the Overall drafting standard options. Right now, I'm using an ISO modified option, but you'll notice if you click from the drop down, you can find ANSI, ISO, DIN, JIS, and the other standards, that you might be looking to use. If you have a drawing that's already been created, and you want to switch it quickly, you can just go in here and say, okay, switch it to the ANSI standard. Click, OK. And then by default, it's going to update the dimensions, notations and everything else on the drawing, to match that standard.
