Editing a distance mate
- [Instructor] We've got our script, we've opened the lid, and now we want to be able to move the Jack-in-the-box so it pops up. How do we do that? We can do that by modifying a distance mate. I'm gonna come open the motion study. If you look at our body of the Jack and you look at the mates here. I'm gonna scroll down, I've got a mate right here, a distance mate and that distance mate is between the bottom of the box and the body of the Jack-in-the-box. I wanna modify that mate. It's starting at a distance of zero and I wanna end it at a distance, let's say, of 40 millimeters. Again, I can use that copy and paste. See right here, where, if I look at that distance mate it shows me the distance value on that key point. I'm gonna copy and paste that. I'm gonna right-click, I'm gonna go copy at the two second mark I'm gonna paste it. Again, that distance is still at the zero millimeter mark.
