- [Instructor] The SOLIDWORKS Weldment package easily allows you to add end caps to your parts, and it's a pretty easy tool, but we do need to know how to use it for the exam. Click on End Cap. Over here under the Face option, go ahead and just choose like the end of one of these pieces. You can see it easily just adds an end cap for us. You can change the thickness here, so I want to type in 0.375 to change the thickness. The Thickness Ratio is how much it's overlapping this. Notice this is 0.5 so it's halfway across that material. If I make that zero, it pushes it all the way out to the edge. If I make that one, it pushes it all the way to the inside edge, so you can see how you can move that around. In this case here, I'm going to add a zero offset. And then Corner Treatment sometimes you like to either add a Fillet or a Chamfer. In this case, I'm going to add a chamfer. You can see I can just kind of either bump that up or bump it down to create that little corner. So in this case…
