- [Instructor] In this video we're going to be covering some of the details of the CSWPA Weldments exam. Now the first thing you need to know is how to create your own Weldment profiles and save them to a folder on your computer. That's very important and that's pretty much the first thing you're going to be doing when you're taking the exams. So during this course we're going to be covering exactly how to create those profiles, how to save them to your local file system so you have easy access to them because you're going to be using those same profiles throughout the exam to create all the parts in the exam. The next thing I want to point out is we definitely want to make sure we know how to do 3-D sketches, there's a lot of 3-D sketching involved in the exam, so you definitely want to brush up on your 3-D sketching if you don't know how to do that already and even if you do, I would definitely do a couple practice parts just to make sure you're fully up to speed. I recommend something like a tube frame for like a sand buggy or something like that or some kind of complex tube-type part that has a bunch of intersecting corners with multiple pieces that you have to create in 3-D. So those are a couple of my recommendations. Now the cool thing about this exam is there are 26 questions which is a lot more questions than most of the other exams. Now that does allow you to miss more questions and still pass the exam. So that's a plus in my book. You get two hours to do it and you need total points of 190 out of 255 to pass the exam. Now in preparation for this course I just recently took this exam and I am going to be creating parts that are going to be pretty similar to what you might see in the exam and really making sure that we touch on each of those key, important subjects to make sure you're up to speed and ready to take this exam.
