External references settings
- [Instructor] Another area in our systems options that we can adjust is our external references settings. Let's go ahead and take a look at that. Go up to our systems options icon. Select External References. Looking down this list, there's a few options we want to change. First, don't prompt to save read-only reference documents. This probably happens to you a lot when you're saving files that you have, and maybe part of an assembly is read only. It gives you this big list of files that you have to save, but in fact you can't save any of them. You want to just skip that step, and don't get the prompt at all, and just drop any changes that have made to read only documents. Just realize, if you do change a document that's read only, you won't have that warning. Just, know what you're doing. Moving down. The load reference documents option. Let's put that to prompt.
