Feature Freeze

- In this movie, let's talk about the Freeze bar. But before we can use the Freeze bar, I actually have to turn it on under System Options. Come up here to the gear, click on Options, and under General, come right down here to Enable Freeze bar, click on that, and that turns it on. Now, notice what we get. We get this little yellow or orange line here, which looks very similar to the History bar at the very bottom of the screen. Right up here is our Freeze bar. If I drag that bar down, notice that anything above the bar has a little lock on it, and I can't change it. It's frozen. And it also keeps SOLIDWORKS from rebuilding those features, which can save you a lot of time. Notice if I right-click on any of these things, I can say, hey, can I try to edit them? But no, I can't, I can't edit them because they're frozen. If you do want to work on them or edit them, you have to unfreeze them, but then of course you can…
