Find and Replace Annotation

- [Instructor] Another SOLIDWORKS utility that you'll want to take advantage of is find and replace annotation. This drawing that I'm working with is pretty basic, but let's say for example I had more notations on it and I wanted to edit any of them related to the material here. So I'm going to go down to Tools, Find/Modify, and here you see Find and Replace Annotation. Now this feature gives you a bunch of options right here. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to find everywhere where it says HRS for hot rolled steel, enter that here, and I'm going to replace that with CRS for cold rolled steel. Now you see it will remember a little bit of your history of what you've been finding and replacing there. You can choose to find just the next one, and it'll identify that specific notation for you. As you go down on the bottom here, you see there are other options: match the whole word only, match the case, so if the cases are not matching it won't filter it out, including hidden…
