- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to be setting up our fixture with our new stock and our part inside of it. All right, the first thing I want to do is I want to make sure that my model here in the computer exactly matches what I'm going to actually see on the shop floor. So if I've got a Kurt vice I want to use a parallel to put the part on that. I want to bring those components in. Now you don't have to do these things, but a lot of times by doing a little bit of extra work now it makes it very easy to set up that job later, because you know exactly the parallel you need to pull out, exactly the vice you need to put and where you need to put it on the table and so on and you can make very detailed instructions on how to do all these things and really think through the process before it makes it out to the shop floor, as well as buying the right material, getting the right tools, and so on.
