- To get started with our front triangle remember that you can access the Surface command tab by right-clicking on any tab on the command manager and make it visible by selecting it from the drop down. You will need to have a Part file open to do this though. For now go ahead and open from the Exercise folder 01_01_Front triangle sketch Part file. What we have is a parallelogram already sketched. If we edit the Base sketch you will note I have already placed a number of points on some of the lines, which we'll be using as references in a bit. We also have a circle on the origin which will be used to drive our bottom bracket shell extrusion. Note all lines are construction at this time. We will be using the Lofted Surface command to extrude the top down and seat support tubes. And since we know we need at least a couple of profiles, and in our case, a Centerline path as well, we'll get our paths in place first. Now, why the path first and not the profile?
