Intersect

- [Instructor] When working in SolidWorks taking mesh files and surface bodies and trying to create solid geometry, sometimes it's good to leverage the Intersect feature. Let's see how this works. I'm going to go into Insert, Features and Intersect. This brings up a selection where it wants to know what solid surfaces or planes intersect to create the regions that I'm going to establish. So here I've got two cylindrical surfaces that intersect one another. I'm going to go ahead and select those, and create this option to Create internal regions. So I can create regions where they intersect, create regions where they're internal to one another, so inside of where these intersect, or I can create both. When you have more complex or different geometry, you're going to get different results with each of those. But for this simple example, we're just going to create our internal region.
