Library naming standards
- [Instructor] We're going to set up our folders for our custom Design Library. You want to go to the Design Library tab of the Resource bar inside of SOLIDWORKS. Make sure you select your custom library and then select the New Folder icon, and name your folder. You can also create the folders inside of File Explorer and then use the Add Existing Folder option to add subfolders to the library. But you want to make sure that you locate them underneath your custom library. We're going to create six folders. We're going to create annotations, blocks, forming tools, sheet metal, hole patterns, and features. And you want to go to the File Explorer and verify that your folders were created there after you've done it. And, next, we're going to be creating some custom annotations, which we can reuse in our drawings. If you have extensive general notes, you can type them up in Word and then import them into an annotation symbol to be reused. We're going to be doing that next.
