- In the previous video we looked at setting up the load and boundary conditions and applying the mesh to the beam. Now we're ready to run the analysis so let's run this study. We can see the deflection results coming out. Let's move to a side view. Double click on displacement wand and under property, we can associate this plot with the name-view orientation, and the name-view orientation, we can say, associate with the current view. So whenever we ask for deflected-shape plot, or displacement plot, we will see this view. It'll be named I beam-Displacement1. Check okay. Now right mouse click on results and choose define beam diagrams. You'll want to check the pin because we'll want to visit this quite a few times. So the moment we have shear force in direction one, direction one was wired down. Now we need to change this to pound-force. Check okay. You can see our shear diagram.
