Loading weldment profiles

- So now we have most of our structure defined. We have the sketches and we have the planes. We're ready to start creating some structural members inside of the Weldments package. To get started, let's go over to Weldments here. We're gonna go ahead and start Weldment and then go ahead and choose a structural member. I'm gonna choose a standard, here I'm gonna choose Ansi inch. Come down here to type. Notice I have quite a few different sections of material, which is great. I'm gonna choose this S section to start with and I'm gonna click on this and I'm gonna say, "Oh my god, there's only three sizes of material I can choose in a structural member or an i beam." We know there's a lot more sizes out there in the world than those. What SolidWorks has done is they've just given you a very, very small subset of what's available, just to kind of get you started inside of the Weldments package.
