Looking at the Rip feature

- [Instructor] The Rip command is a very handy tool for taking a solid and slicing it up and then turning it into a sheet metal part. To get started, the first thing we need is a sketch. So, up here on the top surface, let's go ahead and create a sketch. And let's go ahead and create a few different lines. Create these lines right here and connect those together. Alright, so there are our four lines. So we're gonna be using these lines here to slice this edge so we can open it up, and then go down this edge here. So, once we have that, I can exit out of that. Let's go ahead and choose the Rip command right over here. My Rip parameters, so these are gonna be my edges to rip. I'm gonna choose that new, little edge. And notice that you get an arrow that goes both directions. We actually wanna only go in the inside direction, so along this long edge here. So, Change Direction. Notice it goes only outside, and this way it goes only inside, and that looks good. And so you're gonna be adding…
