Making an axis
- Axes are generally used when you're creating some type of a revolve feature or just setting the direction in a pattern. There's a lot of different uses for them and I'm going to show you how to create them. First things first, under my Features toolbar, under Reference Geometry, go ahead click on Axis. First one is going to be a one line, or edge, axis. Pretty straight forward, click on an individual edge itself, it's going to create an axis on it. Or a different edge over here. Anyone of the edges and that will pretty much just create an axis right there on that edge. If you want to use two planes, I'm going to go over here. Open this up and then click on the intersection of a couple planes. And it will automatically create an axis, wherever those planes intersect. If I change the orientation or the amount of planes that are going to be selected, it's going to automatically add an axis where those two intersect.
