Making linear patterns

- In this example, we're going to be working with subassemblies and patterns. To get started, let's go ahead and open up all the files that are in the 11.5 folder. Then right here, I have them all tiled horizontally by clicking on Window and Tile Horizontally. Now, this component down here, (mumbles) 11.5.1 is the one I want to start with in my assembly. Go ahead and click on that one and then come up to File, Make Assembly from Part, make sure we do choose the 11.5.1 and click on OK. Now, I want to take and build an assembly from this part. If I tile horizontally again, you can see I've got all these individual components here and then I also have a subassembly here that I've already built. Now, I want to illustrate why it's important to build subassemblies and bring them into a top-level assembly versus just bringing individual parts.
