Making linear patterns
- [Instructor] In this example, we're going to be taking a look at creating linear patterns of parts. Now, what I want to do is, I want to take this little cup here, put it over here, and mate in this little hole, and I want to add this inside of there. I want to put that lid directly on top of there. Now, you could do all that in this top-level assembly, but more than likely, it's going to be a better choice, to go ahead an create a sub assembly, of these components over here, so we're not going to have to do all that work, every single time. So, if you go over here to Window, tile horizontally, you can see, I've already actually crated this sub assembly here. And if you go to the top level of that, I can actually drag that full sub assembly, directly into my model. So, now I have the individual components over here, but I also have the sub assembly, with those same exact components over here. So, I'll go ahead and delete these ones out over here. 'cause I don't need to do it twice…
