Making swept cuts
- To make a swept cut, we need both a profile and a path. I've got a few example here to show you. So click on this one here, you can see this is my profile that I have, which is called sketch two. And the path is the whole perimeter of this shape here. So what this is going to simulate, is kind of like a router bit that would go around a piece of wood and create this complicated shape. There's pretty much no other good way to do that, then some very intricate levels of different cuts and fills and stuff like that. With the Sweep tool, I can easily do all that in one shot. Let's take a look. Swept cut, click on that one. My sketch profile is going to be that sketch number two. The path itself is going to be sketch number three. And just that easily, it creates that sweep all around the outside perimeter. Click on OK, and there it is. Alright, the next type of sweep we want to look at, is the solid sweep.
