Making your first CAD drawing

- Once you have a part and/or an assembly we now can make a drawing of that part or assembly. So to get started, I can click on this part here. I can go up here to, New, go under Drawing, and click on OK. Or if I cancel out of that, I can just go over here to File, Make Drawing From Part. As soon as I do that, it gives me the options of what type of sheet format I would like to choose. That basically means, what size sheet of paper, and what is the title bar going to look like, at the bottom of the screen. I'm going to choose this NCC size drawing and use the default template here, and click on OK. That's going to open up a nice drawing for me, and now it gives me the option to bring in whatever view of my part that I'm looking to create a drawing of. I'm going to choose this Right View here and just drag-and-drop that in to my drawing environment. Now, as soon as that part is placed on the drawing, you can see that it automatically turns on what's called a projected view, that allows…
