Mating parts with Path Mate
- In this video, we're going to covering how to establish a path mate between a couple different parts. The first part I want to look at is this plate right here. I'm going to click on Open the Part, and you can see I have a sketch right here. If I open up that sketch, it's just a basic spline that I snapped and added a couple of relationships to the end points. Exit out of that. Let's go to the assembly, and now I have a part right here. Go ahead and update the model. If I open up this part here, what I need to establish is a point that I can then attach that point to the sketch, and then that part will be mated to that line segment, and it'll follow along that path. If you don't have have a point or a corner you can automatically choose, let's go ahead and establish that right now. Choose a face, cover over here to Features, Reference Geometry, and you can actually click on Point right there, click on Center of Face. Now I've already done that, so I'm just going to click on Cancel…
