Measure tool
- [Instructor] While I'm sure everyone uses the measure tool in Solidworks all the time to verify different measurements and distances in Solidworks features, one thing that's really cool about the measure tool is it's ability to give you things like path lengths and cord lengths inside of sketches. So I'm just going to click on the measure tool real quick and go over to this path that I made. You can see if I click on the first entity, because it's an arc it gives me the radius, the dimension of its center point, but it also gives me its cord and arc length which can be really useful depending on what you're doing. And as I click around and select various other entities, it builds up what that total length of my path is. So if I didn't have this path length dimension, or I didn't have it made as a path and I just wanted to check what this stack-up is with this total length, you can go around and select all these entities and it'll give it to you.
